Listening, responding, nourishing…
A longstanding interest in the connection between our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states, as well as a love of receiving holistic massage myself, drew me to the Massage Training Institute and to qualify as a professional therapist. I’ve been continuing to learn more about holistic therapies ever since.
I’m an absolute advocate for holistic methodologies, that encourage an intuitive approach and avoid massage routines and standard ‘set pieces’. I combine my holistic therapy practice with my other professional career, where for over 28 years I’ve worked in fundraising and development in the charitable sector. Both sectors have brought me into contact with some exceptional and incredibly inspirational individuals. I’m also a very rusty Grade 8 pianist, an even rustier violinist, Puccini opera lover and WOMAD devotee.
And I try to practice what I preach. As often as possible (and practical!) I set time aside to enjoy receiving massage myself, as well as other all-important self-care opportunities, including walking the Mendips with my very energetic cocker spaniel.
“I believe my holistic massage and bodywork and work in the charitable sector complement each other beautifully, with both sectors dedicated to the wellbeing of minds, bodies and souls.”
