Listening, responding, nourishing…
A deep respect for the connection between our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states, together with an enjoyment of receiving holistic massage myself, drew me to the Massage Training Institute and the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork.
In addition to intensive study and examination in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, the MTI Level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage and MTI Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage encourage an intuitive approach to massage, avoiding massage routines and standard “set pieces”. My approach holistically encompasses emotional, spiritual and physical needs which obviously change according to what’s going on in our lives. The massage you receive will respond instinctively so not only will your body feel calm, nourished and healed, but so too will your mind.
I combine my massage with my other professional career, where for over 28 years I’ve worked in fundraising and development in the charitable sector. Working with arts organisations, youth arts initiatives, conservation, children’s healthcare and social welfare charities, has brought me into contact with some exceptional and incredibly inspirational individuals. Having experienced work-related stress myself I practice what I preach, ensuring that time is set aside to enjoy receiving massage and indulging in all-important self-care opportunities as often as possible (and practical!).
“I believe my holistic massage and bodywork and work in the charitable sector complement each other beautifully, with both sectors dedicated to the wellbeing of minds, bodies and souls.”
