Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect at your first appointment

When you come to your first appointment, we’ll talk together so I can get a background to your medical history and the way in which you use your body on a weekly basis. It’s important to disclose any pre-existing conditions, recent injuries or operations so the massage you receive can be adjusted according to your needs. Please note an additional 15 minutes will be added to your first session to allow for this, at no extra charge to you.

Clothing
Access to all of the body is easiest for me to deliver a full holistic massage, however if you’re uncomfortable with nudity please undress as far as you feel comfortable. I use drapes at all times to respect both your and my modesty and comfort.
Availability
All bookings without exception are made in advance. Appointments are available Monday to Sunday 9am to 8pm.
Home visits
In very rare instances which necessitate a home visit it is possible for me to come out to your home for your massage session. I respectfully request however, that if you are able to travel to my practice that you please do so, so that I can look after my own body. You’ll find that your massage will be more rewarding if I’m able to deliver it in my own massage space.
Insurance
I hold full and up to date specialist Professional Liability Insurance, specifically for Health & Wellbeing Professionals & Organisations.
Data Protection and Confidentiality
All information you provide will be treated with the utmost confidence and held to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations that came into force in May 2018.
Payments
Treatments are payable by cash or cheque only, and payment must be received by or at the time the massage is given. Block bookings must be paid for in advance.
